Running Win 98 SE, 256 MB memory, lots of free disk space.
Start program... does initial scan (progress bar runs across screen). At the end I get: Access Violation at address 00000000. Read of address FFFFFFFF.
Then In the AutoRun section, I had a Creative labs news updater file that was missing. This showed a ?. I deleted it. Shortly after, I got:
Access violation at 00404e0a in RUNALYSER.EXE. Read of address FFFFFFFF.
When I dismissed this, I immediately got the same message again, in a slightly different screen position. These 2 messages then alternate, and I have to abort the program to get out.
I had this problem in both the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\...\Run sections (both had the missing Creative file). having managed to delete both these entries, the problem no longer occurs.
