That was my question too earlier.
What are LASSHes?
A LASSH is a hash value of a system startup entry. You probably have seen our RunAlyzer? It lists hundreds of system startup entries. Looking up entries by all their properties would be a lot of unnecessary load, so we decided to create a hash value of its content, using all important properties to make it unique, and look up this. Which is the way RunAlyzer knows whether to display items as green or red. And TeaTimer in Spybot-S&D 1.6 will auto-decide on many popups based on them.
A list of LASSH entries is available here (http://forums.spybot.info/runalyzer.php).
As for rating them, that's currently restricted to people who have an official expert rank here on the forum. The results are used for all users of RunAlyzer and of Spybot-S&D as well in the future (1.6 feature), so we've got to make sure only qualified people are rating. drragostea is currently taking courses at an online "malware university" to gain such a rank if I'm not mistaken ;)

You got that right... except that... I'm not on the same track as you are... Is this... related LASSHes like some kind of rank?
When I first read your paragraph, I thought that you had to contribute to the research of the 'RunAnalyzer' to receive a LASSH value. I'm not sure if that's correct.
I mentioned experts only because they learn how to look at system startup entries etc. in general. No further relations, when setting up permissions on which usergroup would be allowed what kind of access to the database, I chose to give helpers & experts rating access because I knew they had the knowledge.
Whenever you rate any system startup entry (aka LASSH) in the RunAlyzer database, the count that is e.g. shown in the user info panel next to each post is increased. So it basically just shows how many system startup entries you've rated. Absolute leader in that regard is probably MacSurf with ~ 150,000 ;)

MacSurf... *whistle...
125,000 Related LASSHes.
So if I'm understanding this correctly, you receive one LASSH value when you vote?
How and what do you vote? Is this like a poll?

Hello,
You can rate here:
http://forums.spybot.info/runalyzer.php
There you can distinguish between good and bad entries.

If I'm correct Spybot-SD 1.6 is released today. :P
I haven't received any news about it. Or is there another RC that I'm not aware about?

Hello,
It should be released today.
Yesterday we had problems with our main server, which made a release impossible.
Best regards

Yep, I received it. Thanks for replying, sandra :cowboy:.
TeaTimer in Spybot-S&D 1.6 will auto-decide on many popups based on them. What if I don't want to allow something that is automatically allowed by the LASSH???
One of the best features of the Tea Timer was that it allowed me to keep QuickTime from adding its update to my startup entries; now I can't do that because the LASSH is automatically allowing it.
How do I disable the LASSH, please?
Simply right-click the TeaTimer icon and uncheck its option?
