I have an external 1 TB drive and a USB memory stick 4 GB, both automatically create a folder called 1_My Stuff which contain tracking files of downloads uploads sites visited etc.... I delete the folder, and it is re-created when I re-attach either drive to my computer, or anyone elses.

When anyone else uses my drives their virus protection detects the file GB32.exe accessing their computer and the file is actually visible on my memory stick or External HD. The file is hidden when I am using either device on my personal computer.

Is this something to worry about? I am using Freedownload manager could it have something to do with this? How do I prevent this from occuring?

Thank You in advance.

Another thread showed "gb32.exe" in the Services of the user's Hijack Log, however, there has been no response to the log.

I'm not finding anything in the other sites.

Can you rename the folder?

What is your OS?

Have you run a scan with Spybot-SD? If so, did it detect anything?

Hello mjr_river,

If you are sharing your external and usb with other people and using a freedownloads manager, it is quite possible the PC itself is infected.

For someone to take a look at the system, please follow the procedure in this link:
"BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance) (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288)

Then start your own thread in the Malware Removal Forum (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22) where a helper will advise you when available.
