I'm new at this, I created this account recently because i thought 'Safer Networking Forums' can help me with my computer problems,:

-I'm getting rundll32.exe & userinit.exe apllication errors.

-They both say: "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click ok to terminate the application."

-I ran Norton Anti Virus scans but i had no viruses, or so i think.

-This all happened 2 days ago after I came back from a 1 week vacation, the computer was turned off though.

-I have 'Registry Clean Expert', I tried to see if that helped remove the errors but it didn't really.

-I'm planning on buying RegCure.

-Rundll32.exe wont let me get into the control panel.

I REALLY NEED HELP, thanks

read this: http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=30038

however, i use registry cleaners.

i dont think the registry cleaners will fix the problem you have, but they may cause them;)

Hi BoneThugs99,

Welcome to Safer Networking :welcome:

A quick google search comes up with this: http://www.updatexp.com/0xC0000005.html

Can you relate to any of those problems/solutions?

****

Like blues just said, registry cleaners are NOT recommended as they usually create more problems than solving them

you guys are probably right about the registry cleaners, since this problem began after i installed them.

and i read the '0xc0000005 access violation error' thread you had posted honda12, and i'm interested about the "faulty RAM", but since im a beginner i dont really know what my computer is compatable with, and to tell you the truth this computer is pretty old (2002) and i havent added memory in a couple of years:oops:. But i still dont understand how to fix this 100%

-Here's the type of computer i have it it helps:

eMachines T1842
Intel (R)
Celeron (R) CPU 1.80GHZ
1.79GHz, 640MB of RAM
40GB Hard Drive Utra DMA

cant hurt to try. Or try a diagnostic testing program. you can also try: http://h20239.www2.hp.com/techcenter/HP_SystemCheck/hp_syscheck.htm

your computer isn't HP, but i found it is able to still scan. Have it test your ram.

ok the rundll32.exe error wont let me read the file put on the usb for the Windows Memory Diagnostic, is there an easier way, like remote assistance?

Guys sorry if i'm posting too much on this thread cause i dont know if im allowed to start a new on on the same topic but i recently downloaded Spybot-S&D, its awesome! But i got another problem, since the userinit.exe error wouldn't load my taskbar and icons i relied on my task manager to the new task 'explorer' to show the takbar and icons on my desktop. But now when i type 'explorer' spybot starts instead of my taskbar and icons on my desktop and i dont know what to do!

I honestly am  my head. :( I do not know what to tell you, it sounds like a format or rebuild is your best option.......I am running out of ideas, but that is just me. Hopefully someone else will have a way better idea then me. :)
