... process (delete, copy, move etc.), downloading music.

I want to download from somewhere cursors, music and themes, but I don't know such good site which contains some of those stuff. About Yahoo! Widgets, I'm fully confused. Widget Gallery does not work as it should, and downloading a widget from Yahoo! makes it automatically but, I want to download it manually. I want to change the explorer animation process (delete, move etc.), But I don't want to do it myself. Is there any good program which makes this safely? I have forgot what else I should ask. So any idea?

So you would like to renovate your Windows XP desktop xD?

I've seems some "cursor" tools out there, but just take caution before using it. You never know what's bundled . I don't trust them. Most of the software is intended to infect, not improve.

For themes, there is a alternative (legitimate) theme called "Zune" for Windows XP. Windows Media Center Edition also came out with Windows XP SP3.

Music? I can't suggest any. It would be more like "breaking the law" for me.

Yahoo! widgets, in my opinion, is quite fun. It works more like a Mac OS X widget sidebar or the Vista Sidebar.

I have already made look to Windows (It's completely green), but I want to get some more style. Actually, I think that I have enough themes.
About Yahoo! Widgets, I want to download it simply (While just clicking download button, it just downloads it without asking me where to save it or else.

About cursors, I have 3 tools for it: AWicons, Greenfish Icon Editor, IcoFX. And where I can download some cursors?

And 2 more things. I've forgot to mention how to make computer faster by disabling or enabling useless services. I know the risk.
And when I install Windows Live Messenger why the connection is always busy and it creates a BHO without a file?

And one offtopic: Can I post a blog on this forum? (Don't ask me why.)

Erm... I'm not so sure about disabling the services themselves, but I usually keep away from them unless there has been a problem.

If you really want to know the answer about some good cursors software, do some Search engine work.

This might occur if Windows Live Messenger is attempting to update itself or install additional software (say like iTunes, that comes with Bonjour and QuickTime).

Yes, you can post a blog just like any other user.

(Don't ask me why.)
Why? ;)

Do you mean link to a blog, or start your own blog. If you wish for a blog on this site please send me a PM.

By the way, downloading cursors, screen savers and the like are a good way to get infected. I'm sure you know that and will take precautions. :)

A Blog on the site? Do you mean... a subforum like that tashi?

Or do you just mean the "blog entries"?

faster by disabling or enabling useless services. I know the risk.

One of the easiest ways to get a performance gain is by adding more RAM. disabling services wont do much of that. However not exposing certain unneeded services does make for good security practice. Read all the documentation first. If you decide to disable: Create a restore point first just in case. Only disable a few at a time, remember the ones you disable.

i would not rely on such programs to disable services, it isnt so difficult to do it manually and some of this programs may do more harm than good. i have experienced that myself with something called safexp and also other such programs. i have also screwed up my computer before when disabling services manually because i thought i didnt need them, so be carefull.

The firewallleaktester looks alright. A small 50KB file. I've used it and it was a simple interface.

I've tried "SafeXP", however it wasn't so safe afterall. It might as well screw up your computer with the 'recommended' settings. I've tried a lot of "tweaking" software before I joined the forums, and it wasn't satisfactory. I remember a 'Java' option in SafeXP, and if you disable it (or was it another option), IE 7 will warn you that the security settings in the zones are set "dangerously" low.

safexp lowered my internet explorer security settings too, it is this one: http://www. theorica. net/safexp.htm it hasnt been updated since 2005 either so stay away from it because internet explorer is also coming in new versions so the settings in safexp may actually lower the security settings in the new internet explorers as the new internet explorers usually have stronger security features and default security settings than the old ones.

stay away from old tweaking programs.

Okay.
It seems that this is complete, but I've asked still something:

Yahoo! Widgets: How to download it safely without making mistakes?

Changing Explorer Animation: How to change it safely?

Windows Live Messenger: why the connection is always busy and it creates a BHO without a file?

can yahoo widgets be used in the opera browser?

drragostea

Not sure if they can...

Yahoo! Widgets are similar (maybe they are attempting to mimic Vista's Sidebar/Widget Bar) to Mac OS X's Wideget/Dashboard and Vista's Widget Bar.

Opera 9 enables widgets within the browser.

Opera 9 enables widgets within the browser. it is just that i uninstalled opera, firefox and comodo firewall because my mouse wasnt working after installing firefox and comodo and the mouse was causing one click to be two clicks in opera and firefox and comodo freezed folder navigation on the computer. so maybe i should forget about this two browsers and comodo. it was probaby my computers fault and not comodo, my mouse is still not working properly even after uninstalling comodo. how much ram and such do you have on your computer? i mean since you are able to run boclean, comodo firewall and the other programs you have then your computer must have more ram than mine. maybe my computer doesnt work so good anymore either. it has 512ram and cpu 2.20ghz.

I'm not sure what your configurations are... and I don't want to drag this thread even longer since this is irrelevant to the threads topic. You can start a new one in the Tavern, and I'll be glad to help you.

FYI, my System specs were in my signature a few weeks ago, in case you didn't notice .

the mouse seems to be working again, i just had to clean under it, i never thought that was the problem i didnt look under the mouse at first either but i will buy a new mouse anyway i think because i dont trust logitech and its mouse drivers as they include backweb even if backweb is safe right now according to different web sites.

i will start a new thread about the comodo firewall slowdown.
