Hi I am very new to computing so please help but in very simple terms!! Thank you!

Basically the problem I am having is that I have downloaded and run Spybot and have run a scan 'checked for problems'. The scan has found lots of results which it has then been able to fix. HOWEVER the one it cannot get rid of is titled 'Command Service'. It is obviously a bad form of spyware as it is highlighted in red. I have tried 3 times now to rescan the system and to 'fix' this item but it will not be removed.

Can anyone make any suggestions? I would really appreciate it as I am constantly being bombarded with popups.

Thank you

Ang

First make sure that you are running the latest version of Spybot with the most resent updates. Go into Spybot > Help > About. You should see the following:
Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.4
Latest detection update 2006-04-07
Then there are two things that you can try to get rid of the things that Spybot-S&D is having difficulty removing:
Try to run it the next time you reboot.
Go into Spybot > Mode > Advanced mode > Settings > Settings > look for "System start" (located half way down the page).
Check the option: "Run program once at next system startup".
Reboot the system.
Run it in Safe mode.
Reboot your system in Safe mode and run Spybot-S&D.
If Spybot-S&D still fails to remove the problems you can request assistance in the Malware Removal forum.
