Situation: RunAlyzer 0.7.3 introduced file signature checking through wintrust.dll.

Experienced: RunAlyzer immediately crashes on Win95.

Expected: while RunAlyzer should actually be able to dynamically link to wintrust.dll, just ignoring this check if it is not available, something still crashes there.
