View Full Version : Updater: not fully hiding
Situation: using /taskbarhide was designed to hide even the task bar symbol.
Experienced: using SDUpdate.exe or /autoupdate does not hide the updaters window.
Expected: operation identical to SpybotSD.exe /taskbarhide.

I am experiencing the same problem. How can I test the fix? When will it be available?
thanks
Mike
Will probably have a file available tomorrow.
Here it is: SDUpdate.exe-10.9.8-2008-03-11.zip (http://www.spybotupdates.com/files/beta/SDUpdate.exe-10.9.8-2008-03-11.zip)

I confirm : the problem is not solved : to be sure I have uninstalled Spybot
then stopped my machine
then relanced my machine
then Re-inslalled Spybot
then putted new SDUdate.exe in folder of installation
It works to do the update
then it does not work : with no update, I have got exactly the same window with old version ...
Sorry, the problem is not fixed for me.
See you !
How exactly are you trying it?
If I run SDUpdate.exe /autoupdate /autoclose /taskbarhide, I don't get any message.
Ah, wait... are you sheduling SpybotSD.exe /autoupdate /taskbarhide? That thing is not covered in this file; that needs a patch for SpybotSD.exe, since SpybotSD.exe did not pass the /taskbarhide parameter to SDUpdate.exe.

Thx
I do not understand.
I wait for new problem description
Sorry ;)
The problem is fixed, the fix has been verified by our team, and if you can't describe your problem more exactly, there won't be any other patch.

Are you sure your issue is in any way related to the issue this entry is about?
This issue is about:
1. silent mode (/taskbarhide), used only in scheduling.
2. the updater only.
Your screen and description sounds like:
1. you manually choose to update, which is not scheduled and not invisible.
2. the screenshots seems to indicate you're doing it from the main application, not the updater.
Resumé: the problem you have and the problem this is about seem to be completely different! Maybe you should post your problem in the regular part of the forum and we'll continue discussion there to not fill this issue with unrelated stuff ;)

Yes ; it is :
1. I manually choose to update, which is not scheduled and not invisible.
2. the screenshots indicate I am doing it from the main application, not the updater.
Sorry ; I will put it in the right place.
