Situation: Firefox 3 uses different files for cookies, bookmarks, &c.

Experienced: Spybot-S&D currently does understand only the older, text/html/mork formats.

Expected: support new SQLite databases of Firefox, both during scans and for immunization.

Possible problematic situation: updating to Firefox 3 keeps old Firefox 2 files in profile. No safe way to distinguish whether only FF3 or both are still in use, so should we detect one profile, as FF3 if possible, or always both?

Nun ja, eigentlich nur die inzwischen wahrscheinlich <10% der Fälle, wo jemand evtl. beide noch benutzt.
Das war noch wahrscheinlich, als FF3 nur Beta war (ich etwa hatte schon ewig die neuen Dateien im Profilordner, obwohl ich hauptsächlich den FF2 verwendet habe).
Sobald in Kürze hoffentlich die meisten wichtigen Addons alle FF3-kompatibel sind, dürfte der Anteil der Leute, die beides parallel im gleichen Profil benutzen, hoffentlich gegen 0 konvergieren ;)

Genau wie von FF1.5 auf FF2 wird es wohl auch nun wieder einige Monate dauern, bis die Mehrheit nur noch die neue Version verwendet. ;)

If anyone wants a demonstration / test Firefox 3 support, please but the files from sbsd16immff3preview.zip (http://www.spybotupdates.com/files/sbsd16immff3preview.zip) into an existing Spybot-S&D folder and run ImmunizeUIv2.exe.

Dear PepiMK and Hi everyone in Spybot Team

I have done what you told, download sbsd16mmff3preview.zip, unzip and copy the two files, ImmunizeUIv2.exe and sqlite3.dll, into C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy of my winXP (no service pack yet, new installation with Ubuntu). I use Firefox 3 (Mozilla 5).

I run ImmunizeUIv2.exe but no Firefox immunization activities chart as the IE.

So it shows only IE activities, and total of 64905.

However if I start SpybotSD.exe and check immunization, it shows 64903 (2 actions missing).

Is this what suppose to be?

And does FireFox 3 is guarded by spybot now, or it is not?

That was from before the 1.6 release. The demo is not necessary if you have 1.6 :)
