The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "Fraud.GuardPro" manually.

Description:

Fraud.GuardPro claims to be an antispyware tool. When it is installed to the computer it finds a lot of harmless entries in order to frighten the user into buying a useless license.

Removal Instructions:

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D, RunAlyzer or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

• Entries named "Guard Pro" and pointing to "<$COMMONAPPDATA>\*\*.exe*".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

• The file at "<$APPDATA>\Guard Pro\mozcrt19.dll".
• The file at "<$DESKTOP>\Guard Pro.lnk".
• The file at "<$PROGRAMS>\Guard Pro.lnk".
• The file at "<$QUICKLAUNCH>\Guard Pro.lnk".
• The file at "<$STARTMENU>\Guard Pro.lnk".

Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Fraud.GuardPro uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Folders:

• The directory at "<$APPDATA>\Guard Pro\cookies.sqlite".
• The directory at "<$APPDATA>\Guard Pro\Quarantine Items".
• The directory at "<$APPDATA>\Guard Pro\RootLib".
• The directory at "<$APPDATA>\Guard Pro".
