PU.SpywareClear offers spyware removal and protection. With the free version a user can scan for suspicious items. Removing found issues needs purchasing a license. The software offers links to other programs by 'PCRx.com', 'Crawler, LLC' or 'Crawler Group, LLC' which are often unintentionally installed by adware.

Important: There are more quicklaunch items that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D, RunAlyzer or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

• Entries named "SpywareClearShield" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Spyware Clear\SpywareClearShield.exe".
• Entries named "SpywareClearUpdater" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Spyware Clear\SpywareClearUpdate.exe".

Important: There are more autorun entries that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

• The file at "<$COMMONAPPDATA>\Spyware Clear\lng.ini".
• The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Spyware Clear\Driver\driver.cab".
• The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Spyware Clear\Driver\sp_rsdrv2.sys".
• The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Spyware Clear\SCShell.dll".
• The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Spyware Clear\SpywareClear.exe".
• The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Spyware Clear\TorrentDll.dll".
• The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Spyware Clear\unins000.dat".
• The file at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Spyware Clear\unins000.msg".
• The file at "<$SYSDIR>\drivers\sp_rsdrv2.sys".

Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If PU.SpywareClear uses rootkit technologies, use the rootkit scanner integrated into Spybot-S&D 2.x or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

• The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Spyware Clear\Driver".
• The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Spyware Clear\Tools".
• The directory at "<$PROGRAMFILES>\Spyware Clear".

• Delete the registry key "{8B01D4B7-0860-452C-AC2B-5CE0140C82D4}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
• Delete the registry key "{8B01D4B7-0860-452C-AC2B-5CE0140C82D4}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ControlPanel\NameSpace\".
• Delete the registry key "{E778C05E-AFF7-4924-B04A-D4084859D53A}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
• Delete the registry key "SC_Svc" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\".
• Delete the registry key "SC_Svc" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\".
• Delete the registry key "SC_Svc" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\".
• Delete the registry key "SCShellMenu" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\".
• Delete the registry key "sp_rsdrv2" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\".
• Delete the registry key "sp_rsdrv2" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\".
• Delete the registry key "sp_rsdrv2" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\".
• Delete the registry key "Spyware Clear" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
• Delete the registry key "Spyware Clear" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
• Delete the registry value "{E778C05E-AFF7-4924-B04A-D4084859D53A}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Shell Extensions\Approved\".
• Delete the registry value "SHELL_MENU_ITEM_CAPTION" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Spyware Clear\".

If PU.SpywareClear uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer, RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
