Help! I just ran spybot 2.0, rebooted, and my desktop is missing!

I installed Spybot 2.0 yesterday, ran a scan and it worked great. Today I did a scan, "fixed" the detections, then rebooted. Just like yesterday. Except today...

When rebooting and I am at the screen where I can choose what profile to log into (I only have one: Fred) it says "Fred locked". I click on it as normal, but all I get is a blue screen, no desktop, no toolbar at the bottom, no start button.

Can anyone assist? I have no idea what is wrong or what to do.

I was able to get internet explorer open just by accessing the windows help section.

I am running windows 7 btw.

If you check the task manager under processes, is "explorer.exe" running? If not go to the applications tab, click "new task", then type in explorer and hit enter.
