What is the average scan time?

Ok...here's a question...

I know Adware and SpyBot S&D both do a pretty darn good job. One catches the items the other misses. I can't say that one misses or catches more than the other, I just know it seems like not matter which one I run first the other picks up a few loose ends here and there.

The one BIG difference is...Scan time.
Adware = approx 3-4min
SB S&D = approx 1 hour

Here are my system parameters. Can anyone enlighten me?

Processor: P4 - 2.40GHz
Memory: 2GB

Hard Drives
1. C: Seagate 40GB 11GB free
2. Partitioned - Seagate 40GB
D: 26GB 6.2GB free
G: 14GB 9.7GB free

Last defrag: less than a week ago
Last time CCleaner was run: Right before scans

It sure would be nice if SB S&D was a little quicker.

You have a decent spec. With 2 GB of RAM, it is more than enough to run them.

What version is your Spybot (Help>About)?

Are running AdAware scans at the same time?
Is there any other activity during the Spybot scan?

Does the scan freeze?
Run Spybot>Mode>Advanced Mode>Okay>Settings>Directories.

Is there anything in the Directories tab?

Ran it solo....nothing else open....

Nothing in the files directory....

No it doesn't freeze....
