No. I'm just using the anti-virus AVG. My firewall is COMODO.
Correction to my prior post-- I am running AVG7.5 anti-virus (Not 7.0)
I'm running AVG 7.0 and installed SS&D 1.5.1.20 and have run it without any problem.
OPSYS=XP-PRO SP2 with IE 7.0
That worked for me too. And, no problem getting updates afterward.
Uninstalled 1.5.1 before trying to install 1.5.2 then ran into
exactly same problem as jasontift and thomfam above.

On page 102 of the October 2007 issue of PCWORLD there is an article and a table rating SSD 1.4 versus other similar programs. The rating was not very complimentary to SSD.

My computer is an old clunker: 233 MHz, 48 MB ram. But just so we don't get off on a tangent, I have been running SSD on it without problem for several years. I normally run SSD by itself.

Have d/l'd the suggested .dll and will run SSD later. I'll let you know how it goes.
After downloading the 07-28-2006 update and running SSD, I got the following messages at the top of the SSD log:
