Just wanted to let you know some more details I noticed today. The browser windows/tabs are facebook links to pages with odd addresses, and it happens everytime Facebook Messenger launches.

I can't view emails in windows live mail now. When I click on them, the preview pane is blank. When I open an email, it is blank.

OTL wouldn't give me a log. I ran it twice. It rebooted both times but never showed a report.
