Kk, upgraded IE fine, but Java is giving me a problem. I get 'Unzipping core files failed'
Also, when Windows closes down, I'm getting access violation errors for what looks like Spybot.
Okay, Malwarebytes picked up a couple of trojans and I deleted them

Malwarebytes Antimalware wasn't working, but that was also uninstalled before I posted here.

Spybot reinstalled and works fine.
So now it's just a case of reinstalling all my protection software?
Disregard that last post, By the looks of it the shut downs were caused by a dusty CPU fan

Still can't run most of my anti-virus/spyware programs or HJT. Same access error
Would I need to reinstall them, or doesn't that matter?
Yeah, I'm thinking of getting rid of that. It's a download client manager for an online game I don't see myself playing that long anyway.

Oh yes, sorry about that.
The error occurred when I unblocked the file as 'exeHelper.com'. I tried running the file as 'explorer.exe' too, but resulted in the same error
Apologies, I had to unblock the file from Properties, but now when I run it I get the "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file" error
Grabbed the program and tried to run it, but there's no black screen or saved log file
