I've been having this problem off and on on three different PC's
running Windows ME, 2000 and XP Home for some time now. They are connected to the Internet by dial-up (1) and Verizon DSL (2).
I start the program and check Search for Updates. When updates
are found I select Detection Rules and anything else that seems
useful. Too many times the download for Detection Rules and
others produces a !!!Bad checksum!"
I have had to repeat the download operation 2-3-4 times before it works. Sometimes I have to give up and try again another day.
Does anybody know why this happens? Is there anything I
could/should do?
