    Default Tea Timer interfering

    Hi guys

I am working with a poster on an HJT log

As part of the fix ; I'm trying to remove these 3 lines, but SpyBotSD is interfering with their removal.
    • O16 - DPF: {4F1E5B1A-2A80-42CA-8532-2D05CB959537} -
      O16 - DPF: {9F1C11AA-197B-4942-BA54-47A8489BB47F} -
      O16 - DPF: {B38870E4-7ECB-40DA-8C6A-595F0A5519FF} -

I will include the posters remarks:
With Teatimer still off, I downloaded the latest Spybot definitions and ran a check - no problems found. I rebooted the PC and ran Hijackthis, and the lines were gone. Then I reenabled Teatimer and ran Hijackthis again (without rebooting), and the lines had come back. So starting Teatimer (either manually, or when rebooting) seems to bring the lines back.
As long as Tea Timer is turned off, the 016 entries are gone, when it is turned on they come back
I have never heard of TeaTimer reloading anything, am I missing something?

    thanks

It is possible but unlikely without notification unless the poster is running an old version of TeaTimer and did an "Allow change" with a "Remember this decision" on each of those entries when the initial registry entries were handled with TeaTimer.
What version of TeaTimer is the poster running? Going into Spybot > Help > About and stating the version of Spybot - Search & Destroy they are running would help. i.e.:
    • Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.3
    • Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.4

    Repair methodology:
    • Exit TeaTimer:
      • Right click Spybot's TeaTimer System Tray Icon > click Exit Spybot-S&D Resident.
        • TeaTimer closes.
    • Delete TeaTimer's stored "Remember this decision" entries:
      • Using Windows Explorer, navigate to one of the following directories:
        • Windows 95/98
          C:\Windows\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Excludes
        • Windows ME
          C:\Windows\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Excludes
        • Windows NT/2000/XP
          C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Excludes
      • Delete the following files:
        • RegKeyBlack.sbe
          RegKeyWhite.sbe
    • Restart TeaTimer:
      • Using Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy.
      • Double click TeaTimer.exe to start it.
    • Do the repairs using HijackThis:
      • Do an "Allow change" without a "Remember this decision" for each TeaTimer dialog received for the items being "Fix checked" with HijackThis.
    • Exit TeaTimer:
      • Right click Spybot's TeaTimer System Tray Icon > click Exit Spybot-S&D Resident.
        • TeaTimer closes.
    • Reboot the system.

    He is running version 1.3

Will the repair indicated be the same?

    Yes!

And your poster should upgrade to Spybot-S&D 1.4. Have them read the following:
