    Unhappy spydawn anti-spyware software

    I am infected with spydawn anti-spy software and I cannot remove it. I keep getting system alerts. and the spydawn wants me to pay to download their software.

    Hello.

    If you can find the file/s, please zip and send to: detections(AT)spybot.info (Replace AT with @)

    Then follow the procedure in this link: "BEFORE you POST" -Preliminary Steps which includes a Spybot-S&D scan in safe mode.

    Start your own thread in the Malware Removal Forum

    Once you have posted a helper will advise you as soon as available.

    Hello,
    I do not know where to look for the files. Ususally I take my computer to someone to remove viruses and spyware.
    Thanks for any guidance you may give me.
    where shall I look for the files and how will I recognize them?

    My machine was infected with it, too. It usually comes bundled with something that looks like a codec. Spydawn removal instructions can be found here.

    Anyone who has an infection not removed by normal means, please follow the procedure in this link:

    A helper will advise you when available and guide you through the removal process.
