I really need some help

My little one (7) uses my computer all the time. Totally my fault - I should have taught him about adware and spyware - but I'm believing that now my computer is a mess.

I downloaded SpyBot Search and Destroy. And I get this error message when updating.

Error retrieving update info file! Socket Error #10061 Connection refused.

Can anyone help me? Thanks so much!

Hello,

Please take a look at the security settings of your firewall (if you are using one) and make sure that Spybot-S&D is not blocked. That should help to get into the updates. If Spybot-S&D is not blocked it is also possible that our server is temporarily not available. Please try again a few hours later.

Just download and run that file - it is self-installing.

Thank you so much Sandra. I did just that and it worked. Although your program fixed a lot of problems - I still have the one I started with. I cannot get a secondary popup to work on my computer. Example - I can get yahoo.com but if I want to check my mail - I get a DNS error. Same goes for looking at my bank statement - anywhere that there's a second. Can you help with this?
