Question BAD OLD "Recovery" files not being removed

My system is cluttered with old files in Spybot S&D\recovery folders; Spybot S&D is apparently not cleaning them up. I had planned on just deleting them, but wondered if there is some feature in the program that would cause that to happen automatically.

What do you experts think I should do about this? Why are these old recovery files hanging around? (I have the Age of recovery "old" setting at 31 days; I can find no other controls that seem to relate to eliminating old recovery files.)

Try going into Spybot > Recovery > highlight (left click) an item that you no longer want > click the "Purge selected items" button". Did the item purge?

Getting an answer is one thing, learning is another.
