    Default Loading Spybot

When I S&D, it now checks my computer imeadiatley, "... please stand by..."before I get the chance to download updates so I need to check again, this has been happening for the last few weeks?. How can I stop it from running until I get to check for updates?

    Thanks.

Go into Spybot > Mode > Advanced mode > Settings > Settings. In the option tree under Automation > Program start, make sure the following item is not checked:
    • Run check on program start.

If that is not the problem, check the properties of the shortcut used to start Spybot (right click on the shortcut and select Properties). Make sure that there is not a parameter of /autocheck in the target of the shortcut. i.e:
    • "C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\SpybotSD.exe" /autocheck

Getting an answer is one thing, learning is another.
