Search & Destroy Drama

Hi.
I have been using Spybot for around 3 - 4 years without problems. Last night, trying to clean up any new viruses, I ran S&D.
To my horror, when I rebooted by PC, a number of programs were missing. Also, all of my Outlook express emails (Sent files, History folders) except for InTray, were deleted, as well as my Address Book. Also Missing were my Documents, excel spreadsheets, and photos. I had to reload Firefox and have some minor probs there (it's also a little slower to respond).

I tried to run "Recovery", but there was nothing in there.

Do I bite the bullet, or can I recover my lost links and files, or can I reverse the S&D process?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Same problem here but we didnt lose quite as much. Still trying to recover our files. Please let me know if you have had any luck recovering yours and how you did it. Thanks!!
