What type on connection is it you have ? Modem, cable or dsl ?

Why not try the Firefox Browser, It is much safer and user friendly

It's DSL.

I have heard that Firefox is less prone to malicious attack. Am I able to use both IE and Firefox or would IE have to be deleted? Also I am about to start up a website and I seem to remember someone at a hosting company in the US telling me that I could host with them even though I am in the UK as long as I had Internet Explorer. Is this true? I may be mis-remembering, surely it wouldn't matter which browser??

Hi

Have you tried resetting the modem (and firewall if you use one)yet ?
Basicly (im unsure with dsl)while the pc is off unplug the power to the modem and firewall, wait two minute's plug the modem in wait another couple minutes plug the firewall in then start the pc.

IE cannot be deleted, it is to tightly intergrated into windows, besides if it wasnt present windows update would not work.

I have no idea about web hosting questions
