Windows 98 usage

My XP system recently crashed and I'll be without for a while.
I have updated my old W98 system to all existing patches.

Is there a special version of Spybot I should use or which website should I download from to get a version OK for W98 ?

I have scanned much of your web site and forum and it appears that I can use the current latest Spybot - is this correct ?

I am having strange errors running on W98 - and it still continues with the latest updates.

For example :
"Torpig access violation at 0380FA9E"
"cache (1112)"
"error duing check" etc etc.

After several iterations, I have got it to completion but always with several warning/hangups/aborts along the way.
