    Default Spybot crashes and exits

Recently, I started encountering a problem with Spybot crashing. It seems to do so when running the scheduled scan, since I left my computer on overnight and came back to see the Windows error message that says something along the lines of "SpybotSD.exe has encountered an error and needs to shut down" with the option to send a report to Microsoft.

When this happens, Spybot starts crashing every time it starts, and the only solution I've found is to uninstall and reinstall it. Also, the TeaTimer says "0 processes blacklisted."

Are there any solutions for this? Or do I just have to reinstall Spybot every time it crashes?

    Hello,

Did you used the schudler the right way?
    Did it schedule at all?

    Do you have admin rights?
    Did you enter a password?
When you get this error message:
“0x80070005: Access is denied" error message when you create a scheduled task in Windows XP Service Pack 2:

    About your TeaTimer.
Did you already download the current updates after making a fresh install?

    Best regards

I'm sure I have the scheduler working properly, admins rights and everything, and I downloaded the newest updates after the clean install.

I think the problem's in the TeaTimer, since Spybot's been working fine since I closed the TeaTimer.

Update: After downloading the latest updates again, Spybot works fine now. So I'm guessing whatever was wrong got fixed in the latest update.
