Winfixer Help Please

Hi,
I tried Spybot S&D and it showed that it got rid of winfixer but then after bootup the popup came back. I have just run HJT...here is my log....any help will be GREATLY appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Let me first say that we are volunteers and the wait at most forums is three to five days, that's if you get a response at all. Best to display a little patience

If you still need help and are not receiving it elsewhere, follow these directions.

Thanks to Atribune and any others who helped with this fix

1) Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.

• Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
• Click the Scan for Vundo button.
• Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
• You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
• Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
• When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
• Turn your computer back on.
• Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

Hold the logs until after the HJT fix.


2) The R1 lines in HJT are optional search junk. I suggest you remove them, they are not making your browser any faster.

3) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

Restart the computer and post the vundofix.txt and a new HJT log, we may have more to do.

9) System Restore does not know good from bad and this stuff may be backed up waiting for you to use SR where you would get reinfected. Use this information to get clean SR files:
