spybot loads slowly
Just updated to spybot on xp machine. It scans quickly, but when I click on the icon to load, a very long delay occurs. First, nothing seems to happen, then the red hard disk drive turns on, and then the progress bar for spybot finally appears and at that point loads quickly.
Other software loads quickly. Wondering if other security software is doing a slow scan of spybot as it loads? No idea what to try.
The slow start of Spybot 1.5 is a known problem that has been fixed. See the following tracking task (which includes a link for a fix to the problem):
