    Default Issue with Teatimer

    Hi,

Every time I update Mozilla Firefox and other things, I would have to turn off Teatimer to do so. It is inconvenient, seeing that I would have to restart my computer if I didn't have Teatimer off while I downloaded a patch. I actually don't know too much about computers, so if anyone could please explain to me how I could possibly change the settings of Teatimer or something, so that it wouldn't interfere with my patching and downloading.

    Hello,

Which version of Spybot - Search & Destroy do you use?
You do not need to turn off TeaTimer if you install new stuff - you just need to allow the registry changes with the resident TeaTimer.

    Hi,

I'm currently using Spybot Search&Destroy version 1.4. Could you please tell me what "new stuff" I need to download?

    Thanks for the reply.

    Hello,

Please upgrade your program, version 1.5 is available!
First, please uninstall the old version according to this link:
    http://www.safer-networking.org/en/howto/uninstall.html
Now, you can download the new version here:
    http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirrors/index.html
Or choose the direct installation file:
    http://www.spybotupdates.com/files/spybotsd15.exe
    Don't forget to update afterwards!
    Here is a tutorial:

We hope you enjoy 1.5 even more than our previous releases!

    Best regards

Okay, I just installed the new version of Spybot. I've also installed something successfully with Teatimer turned on. And I can now download things without having to worry about toggling Teatimer on and off. So thank you for your quick, helpful replies and for resolving the problem.
