Default too many exe's to list part 1

    Hi,

my pc has 2 accounts running on it but all problems only seem to appear on my partner's side.
We got the "blue screen of death" a couple of times & now Zone Alarm keeps throwing up warnig messages. Some of these are wetre.exe, koos.exe, xlavba8.exe, 208250.exe 0x57.exe, there have been others but I didn't get to write them all down. I run Spybot as soon as anything has been detected but still they come.

I've run both the HJT & Kaspersky's online scan & the results are below:

Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2

Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.

All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you have at least one very bad trojan and there is more. I would not count on only one user being infected either.
Here is the one that concerns me most: C:\WINDOWS\system32\regscan.exe
    http://www.sophos.com/virusinfo/analyses/w32rbotha.html
Allows others to access the computer
    Steals information
    Records keystrokes
    Installs itself in the Registry
    Exploits system or software vulnerabilities
    Used in DOS attacks
A Backdoor is a software program that gives an attacker unauthorized access to a machine and the means for remotely controlling the machine without the user's knowledge. A Backdoor compromises system integrity by making changes to the system that allow it to by used by the attacker for malicious purposes unknown to the user.

One or more of the identified infections is a backdoor trojan.
This allows hackers to remotely control your computer, steal critical system information and Download and Execute files
I would counsel you to disconnect this PC from the Internet immediately. If you do any banking or other financial transactions on the PC or if it should contain any other sensitive information, please get to a known clean computer and change all passwords where applicable, and it would be wise to contact those same financial institutions to apprise them of your situation.
Though the Trojan has been identified and can be killed, because of it's backdoor functionality, your PC is very likely compromised and there is no way to be sure your computer can ever again be trusted. Many experts in the security community believe that once infected with this type of Trojan, the best course of action would be a reformat and reinstall of the OS. Please let us know what you have decided to do in your next post.

Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2 Scan saved at 21:24:54, on 29/11/2007

    See this: http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.p...80&postcount=2
C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_05\ <<< Java is BADLY out of date, download the newest version and uninstall all old versions in Add Remove programs.

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
    http://www.atribune.org/content/view/25/2/
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
    O3 - Toolbar: PBUKV2 - {4E7BD74F-2B8D-469E-A0E8-F479B685FA7D} - (no file)

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

    Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
    Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

    Thanks
