Error

I loaded Spybot S&D on a computer that we believe has spyware and its is giving me an error message when I click on Search and Destroy that wants me to enable and install updates(the eror box doesnt look all that real could it be a virus preventing me from updating anything I'm having this problem with my norton 360 to) but when I try to update it it says there are no new updates and my computer is unable to access the internet.

Any hints to help me

some malware is able to block access to certain websites and even block some processes. If you cannot update Spybot S&D via the internal updater, you can try the manual update.
