    Default Manually install updates?

My friends computer is having serious problems... however I won't bore you. I think it may all be fixed if he could install the updates to Spybot S&D - which he has installed. However he can not connect to the internet due to the nature of his problem.

So is there a way I can take my updates and manually (by use of a jump drive) shift them to his computer (which runs Windows XP)?

    Thank you so much!

    Quinnton:

You can download and install the detection updates manually as follows:
    • Download the update file (spybotsd_includes.exe) from safer-networking.org:
    • The item is:
      • Detection updates 2007-12-05 - product description
        md5: 2A9F6EE3D9FA38F775FDC7F51BC52D73

This updates the detection rules. Only needed if you do not want to use the update function integrated into Spybot-S&D.
    • Note: The direct link for that download is:
    • Execute the downloaded file (spybotsd_includes.exe) on the offline computer to update Spybot.

Getting an answer is one thing, learning is another.
