Which Version to use

Can you still download version 1.4 and use it ok for older operating systems?

If so does it update still?

I ask this as there appear to be various people discussing promlems with the latest 1.5 version.

Anyone using 98 that could inform which version works best.

You could try the beta instead,which fixes a lot of problems that Spybot 1.5 had:

I think trying the beta would be better than going back to 1.4,because the beta fixes a lot of the issues with 1.5 final,and Spybot 1.4 had unresolved problems of it's own,which were fixed with Spybot 1.5.

1.4 still updates,as far as I know.
