netscape bookmarks erased

S&D created a bookmark backup file ( .bak) how can i use this to restore my bookmarks?

You could try renaming bookmarks.html(if it is still present)to bookmarks.old,then renaming bookmarks.bak to bookmarks.html.You might want to back them up first(just copy the files to another location,in case renaming goes funky,you'll have a backup to use.)
