Thread: McAfee VS 11.2 forced Spybot uninstall

    Hi everybody,


    It is not a real problem.

    McAfee demands uninstalling Spybot or any other security software? So do it. As soon as you finished installing McAfee you go back to Spybot and reinstall it. It'll be without problems. Your machine will work perfectly. You won't experience any problems. The same applies to ZA and others.

    I am sorry to have to disagree with your "it's not a real problem". If Spybot chose to demand that McAfee had to be uninstalled in the same manner, on the basis of what's good for the goose is good for the gander (and I'm certainly not advocating that), then your work around wouldn't work. This type of problem is real and will remain so whilst there continues to be support for products that use market standover tactics.
