    Default coolwwwsearch.feat2installer

coolwwwsearch.feat2installer has imbedded itself within "regrun" winbait on my computer and I cannot remove nor can I even find regrun winbait.exe on my computer on either my main drive or backup drive. When I run Spybot it shows up under Autorun settings (regrun winbait) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\RegRun WinBait. I've ran Ewido, I've run Kaspersky, etc. to no avail. Here is my Hijack this log:

I've tried to remove 04 RegRun Winbait to no avail. 023 Epson printer status agent (I have no epson printer), I've tried to remove to no avail. And again there is no Epson in my C:Program Files Common files.

    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Wm

Also I use ad watch monitoring at startup. When I disable so it doesn't come up at start up my IE browser gets redirected to MSN.com, very strange.

    HI

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RegRun WinBait] C:\WINDOWS\winbait.exe

If you don't have the C:\WINDOWS\winbait.exe ... file

Then the O4 entry is an orphan run key, and hijackthis should remove it for you ... but first you must disable spybot's teatimer and Adaware's adwatch as they will interfere with the removal...

    --

    Teatimer - disable

    1. Open Spybot and click on Mode and check Advanced Mode

    2. Click on Tools in bottom left hand corner

    3. Click on System Startup

    4. uncheck spybot teatimer

    5. reboot

    6. when you have finished removing the malware, go back and re-tick it

    --

adwatch has a lock start up sections that prevents the run keys being altered or removed <<<

    To disable Adwatch...

Please disable AdWatch, as it may hinder the removal of some entries.
    To disable AdWatch:

    Open AdAware SE.
    Go to AdWatch User Interface.
    Go to Tools and Preferences.
At the bottom of the screen you will see 2 options Active and Automatic.
Active: This will turn Ad-Watch On\Off without closing it.
Automatic: Suspicious activity will be blocked automatically.
Uncheck both options. You can enable these after resolving your problem.

    --
Now run hijackthis and try to fix that key....

    Also ...

Go to start > run and copy the following bold text into the field and press enter ...

    sc delete EPSONStatusAgent2

Run hijackthis and post a new log, and let us know if your problem is resolved
