    Default .avi file

I upgraded spybot and now I can't view a google .avi video.

What can I do to fix this?

    Hello,

    Did you immunize your system?
Do you have the SDHelper activated?

    Best regards

    Yes, I immunized.

I think SDHelper is enabled. Looking in IE Tools, spybot configuration is there.

I tried to add the url of the video but couldn't.

    Hello,

Please open the Tools menu in your Internet Explorer and choose 'Spybot - Search Destroy Configuration'.
There you will find a drop down menu where you should select "Ask for blocking confirmation".
    (3rd picture)
If you want to visit a blocked website choose "Allow". Hope this solves the problem.
If this doesn't work please run Spybot-S&D and select "Spybot-S&D" --> "Immunize" in the navigation bar on the left. Please hit "Undo".
Then run Spybot - Search & Destroy and switch to the Advanced mode via the menu item Mode.
Now select 'Tools' - 'Resident' from the navigation bar on the left.
Please untick the checkbox in front of the 'SdHelper'.

    Best regards

I followed your instructions but still can't download the video in IE7 :(

If you want to visit a blocked website choose "Allow". - I never had this choice.

Please untick the checkbox in front of the 'SdHelper' - Did that, too.

Is it necessary to Check for problems? I haven't restarted the computer. Maybe that will fix things?

    Thanks for your help.

BTW, I am able to view the video using Firefox, so is there some other IE specific thing to undo?

Which Media player program are you using?
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I usually use Windows Media Player. When I view the video in Firefox, it doesn't open a player. I get the impression it's a flash file because when I right-click the video, it mentions Flash.
