Can't run Spybot check after installing

Hi all.
I've problems using spybot S&D.
The first time i installed it, it updated, immunized and check for spyware alright, but when i click to remove the spywares, spybot just shuts down automatically.
When i restart the program and try to run check for spyware again, it says i have to use the latest update.
When i click on the update tab, it says "blindman.exe" is corrupted, asked me to update again.

The first time i installed and run it detected virtumonde and smitfraud.C. Like i said, when i tried to remove, the program shuts down. The next time i open and click on the recovery tab, it says unable to load zip file but shows the smitfraud.C detection. I can't remove it.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the program, but it's still the same.

I'm running on Windows Vista Home Premium.

By the way, i've problems removing virtumonde and smitfraud, i should post over at the malware section right?
