    Default hldrrr.exe "infection"?

    My computer has been running slowly, and "Windows Manager" (I don't actually know what it is called, as my computer is in Chinese) shows that hldrrr.exe along with some "numbers".exe are running and using up a lot of ram.
    I tried to terminate them but I couldn't.
    My anti-virus and Spybot don't work - their executables couldn't be opened.
    Please help me!!!

    Hi

    Are you able to run HijackThis? If yes, post back its log (see BEFORE you POST (READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance) sticky for instructions)

    Download ATF (Atribune Temp File) Cleaner© by Atribune to your desktop.

    Double-click ATF Cleaner.exe to open it

    Under Main choose:
    Windows Temp
    Current User Temp
    All Users Temp
    Cookies
    Temporary Internet Files
    Prefetch
    Java Cache

    *The other boxes are optional*
    Then click the Empty Selected button.

    If you use Firefox:
    Click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
    Click the Empty Selected button.
    NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click NO at the prompt.

    If you use Opera:
    Click Opera at the top and choose: Select All
    Click the Empty Selected button.
    NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click NO at the prompt.

    Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.


    Please run an online scan with Kaspersky Online Scanner. You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, click Yes.
    • The program will launch and start to download the latest definition files.
    • Once the scanner is installed and the definitions downloaded, click Next.
    • Now click on Scan Settings and select the following:
    Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
    • Extended (If available, otherwise Standard)
    Scan Options:
    • Scan Archives
    • Scan Mail Bases
    • Click OK.
    • Under
      select a target to scan
      , select My Computer.
    • The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run. As it scans your machine very deeply it could take hours to complete, Kaspersky suggests running it during a time of low activity.
    Once the scan is complete:
    • Click on the Save as Text button.
    • Save the file to your desktop.
    • Copy and paste that information into your next post if the AV content will fit into one post only.



    Note for Internet Explorer 7 users: If at any time you have trouble with the Accept button of the license, click on the Zoom tool located at the bottom right of the IE window and set the zoom to 75 %. Once the license has been accepted, reset to 100%.

    If having a problme doing the above

    Make sure that your Internet security settings are set to default values.

    To set default security settings for Internet Explorer:

    * Open Internet Explorer.
    * Go to the Tools menu, then choose Internet Options.
    * Click on the Security tab.
    * Make sure that all four item (Internet, Local intranet, Trusted sites, and Restricted sites) are set to their default settings.

    Hi. Thanks for helping.

    I use Internet Explorer.

    My originally installed ATF-cleaner is down.
    I needed to reinstall it and change the filname to open it.
    files were cleared as you said.

    Security settings of IE were restored to default.

    My computer is of limited function.
    HiJackthis is modified once unzipped. Had to rename to open.

    One last thing.
    My computer is running very slowly, and i don't know if this is related but the Online Kaspersky scanning is taking hours and not finishing (stuck at 99% and still scanning). It has scanned 20000 files in two hours and it seems that it is scanning real slow. It has not yet finished but from the cumulative count there are 6 viruses found and 75 infected objects.
    And it's still scanning.

    Thought that this might worth noting - the online Kaspersky scanner is stuck with one file for a long time, and seems like it is getting slower and slower.
    It is scanning two files in 2 hours.

    I saw enough to tell you that you've got a Bagle infection.

    This allows hackers to remotely control your computer, steal critical system information and Download and Execute files

    I would counsel you to disconnect this PC from the Internet immediately. If you do any banking or other financial transactions on the PC or if it should contain any other sensitive information, please get to a known clean computer and change all passwords where applicable, and it would be wise to contact those same financial institutions to apprise them of your situation.

    Though the Trojan has been identified and can be killed, because of it's backdoor functionality, your PC is very likely compromised and there is no way to be sure your computer can ever again be trusted. Many experts in the security community believe that once infected with this type of Trojan, the best course of action would be a reformat and reinstall of the OS. Please read these for more information:

    However, if you do not have the resources to reinstall your computer and would like me to attempt to clean it, I will be happy to do so.
