marketflip.fakesearchanddestroy

Search and Destroy 1.5.2 identifies 4 entries of marketflip.fakesearchanddestroy but Fixing the problem closes the program down.

Task manager shows two S and D programs which I assume one to be the fake one.

Help to remove this would be appreciated as Search and Destroy fails to fix it.

XP SP2 - all updates
AVG free 7.5 - latest

Hi there,

• Open SpyBot
• Check for problems, do not 'fix' any items found.
• Switch Spybot S&D to advanced mode
• Navigate to tools - view report
• Click "view report"
• Click "export" to save the report to a text file and paste the top of the report showing the detection here please.

This is a particular bad one.

After scan, Switching to Advanced, or starting in Advanced and clicking on Tools, closes the program down.

"BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance)

Skip the Spybot-S&D scan for now and start your own thread in the Malware Removal Forum where a helper will advise you as soon as available.
