Spybot keeps crashing for me at the point

I have been running spybot for a number of years now without a problem. Now I am stumped and need help.

I am running XP. When I run a check on spybot it starts fine and then at about item 32,000 it just shuts down. Totally goes away. No warnings or anything. It even deos this in Safe Mode.

Any thoughts? I was going to just reload the program but I thought I would check here first.

Spybot just runs until a certain point and closes without reason?

What version are you running (HELP>ABOUT)? Is your system patched?
Are you running any other programs during the scan?

Have you attempted to clear the cache, temp. files, and cookies in your browser?

Is this the first time it occurred?
