I suppose so. I read it in the sticky:

Distributed Testing, updated to 1.6 and leaving beta status

but it is dated on the 4th. Nevertheless it contains a link to download version 1.6. I have dowlnoaded the exe-file, but will install it when I'm back from my vacation.

I think it mean leaving beta status to Release Candidate status. If there were v.1.6 it would be on the main page right now. Hm.
