    Default immunization

    S&D version 1.6.2.46
    XP with all latest updates
    computer is not shared
    avast AV

This problem started about a month ago and the number of items "not protected" has gone up slightly in that time.

Right now after a scan S&D tells me I have 45182 unprotected.
Scan is done with browser closed (IE7) and no other open programs.

I have read this link: http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=36272

Nothing mentioned seems to pertain to me.

Any ideas how I can get S&D to immunize properly?

    Thanks

    Hello,

Which items are not immunized exactly?
Did you try to undo the immunization and then immunize again?
Have you also used the "Check again" function from the menu bar above?
Are you logged in as admin or as user with admin rights?
Do you have other user accounts on your pc?

    Best regards

When S&D runs at nite, the next morning it says that there are browsers open; there are none open. And it gives the message that I have 45xxx unprotected items.

I have used S&D for about 5 years now and this has just started. I also have it on a laptop and this problem has not come up.

The browser I use is IE7.

    Help appreciated.

    bump

anyone else experiencing this or have a solution?

Right now I am thinking about doing a total uninstall/reinstall of spybot to see if that cures it, but it seems I have seen a few other threads that express the same problem.

    Thanks
