Default my mistake.. it is the CreateProcess Failed; Error 740

I'm simly trying download 'spybotd160' to make me the administrator of Spy Bot on my computer. It says the requested file requires elevation.

I tried to remove or clean-up a Trojan on my computer, but it said that I need to be the administrator to do so. Thank you so much for assisting me.

First clarify your OS (Operating System).

Are you using any firewall? Any anti-virus?

This situation sounds like you need assistance in the Malware Forums.

    Talking error 740

I'm using McAfee Antivirus program and the firewall that is included with firewall that came with my computer. Any suggestions? I used McAfee Stinger to rid the 'Banker Trojan Virus'. Now I'm just trying to install Spybot, so I can execute administrator processes.

    Hi,

Is the OS (Operating System) a Windows XP or Windows Vista?

If so, following the link in Greyfox's post.

Have attempted to remove the 'trojan' in 'Safe Mode'? What is Spybot-SD detecting?
It is better safe than sorry. I would suggest you start a thread in the Malware Forums with a HiJack This log. A malware fighter will help you.

Question Registry, Trojan virus & elevate to administrator inquiry

Sorry that I haven't been too helpful on describing the problems that I am having, but I did find the location of a Trojan on my Registry and have no experience dealing with that part of my computer. See below please:

I cannot remove the Banker Trojan virus, located :{SBl $EBFB4022} Browser Helper Object.

After runing SpyBot, it asks me if I want it to fix the problems and I say yes, but it tells me that I need to run the application elevated as an administrator. I used the Help tab and did in fact change my status to administrator, but it still gives the same message.

I can try to go delete that registry file that it gives me, but am unsure if that will cause me more problems.

Please help if you guys can.
