Question about updates working for Spybot 1.4

Do the updates still work for Spybot 1.4? I really just want to use it for it's immunization feature. I know that some of the updates cause weird results when you do a scan. But if the immunization thing still works with 1.4, can I just update that? If so, which of the updates is for the immunization only?

Support for older versions of Spybot-SD (1.3-1.4) is about to end. Unless there is a compelling reason to stick the older versions (memory/resource problem) then I would strongly suggest you upgrade to the latest version of Spybot-SD, which is 1.6.0.30.

The updates provided by the integrated updater provides both detection and immunization updates. In your case, it wouldn't matter if you downloaded them all, as you can still use the Immunization feature to it's full potential.

I'm recommending you upgrade to avoid conflicts. There were several issues in the past where Spybot-SD 1.3.x, and 1.4.x were detecting a false positive. Removing the entry will prevent the user from logging on the computer. It'll also resolve some detection problems.

The latest version of Spybot-SD offers both improvement in scanning and protection compared to older versions.
