Default Does this look like a fraud/virus containing email ? or does it look legit ?

Hi there, I recently received this email about changes to my credit score, and now I'm curious to know if this email is legit or dangerous to open if it contains a virus of some sort.

I tried looking up the email and creditcenter.com and nothing is matching up with one another, which leads me to believe this is bullshit. What do you guys think ?

Phishing and Spam mail are aggressive these days, so I'd be careful.

Hotmail was right to block the mail from executing. If you were to open it and Hotmail did not block it, mostly the ad server will receive a receipt saying that this email address was valid. Thus more spam.

So it'll take social engineering, curiosity, and scare tactics to make you open and download whatever's inside (you'll get tricked).

Thanks for the advice. The only reason I would have opened the email that was blocked and labeled as dangerous by "hotmail" would have been out of curiosity to see if there really was a change to my credit score, so your right. But since the email address and information seemed completely irrelevant from the sender, I'll delete the junk.

On a side note, Luckily I keep a clean gmail address just for serious emailing. Hotmail service kind of sucks, to spammy, which is why I have discontinued making accounts with them a while ago.

I wouldn't say Hotmail "sucks", but I just find it 'bulky'.

    Glad to have helped.

    Safe surfing.
