    installed software today but the s&d wizard will not open

    Your post is vague and does not provide much information.
    -
    The "S&D wizard" is the installer. Wizard/Installer, same thing.

    Or do you mean that you cannot open the program itself when you double-click on Spybot's desktop icon?

    Rename the default desktop icon to something else.
