    Default Unable to Locate Component

I have just installed SpyBot on a friend's machine as I have been updating her Windows and adding spyware detection for her as she asked me to do this.

I have tried running SpyBot several times and it has found the following problems:
    Windows Security Center.AntiVirusOverride - 1 entry
    and
    Wild Tangent - 5 entries

When I click "Fix Selected Problems" I get an error message that says:
This application has failed to start because WDENGINE.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this.

I did re-install a couple of times but it still doesn't work on this computer.

Hopefully someone will be able to help me solve this problem. Thank you in advance.

WDENGINE.dll isn't part of Spybot. It's actually part of Wild Tangent.

    Wild Tangent info:

What version of Spybot is installed on your friend's computer?
You can click Help, then About,if you're not sure.

For the Windows Security Center.AntiVirusOverride, please see here:
    http://www.spybot.info/en/faq/46.html
For an example,if your friend chose the 'I have antivirus software that I'll monitor myself' check box in Security Center when she clicked on the recommendations dialog box, then Spybot would find Windows Security Center.AntiVirusOverride.

    Hi,
Thanks for helping me solve this problem. I deleted Wild Tangent from the computer and now I don't get any problems that are detected.

Thank you for your help. I really appreciated it.

    You're welcome.

People with Spybot 1.3 sometimes used to get that error message when removing wild tangent.I don't remember seeing anybody with that error message that had Spybot 1.4.What version does your friend have on her computer?

I returned her computer to her already but I know it was the latest version of SpyBot because I downloaded it several times and uninstalled it thinking it was a corrupted download.
