The WebSearch Toolbar is a free web search and navigation service that works directly within the Internet Explorer.

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.
  • The file at "<$WINDIR>\TBSSaver.scr".
  • The file at "<$SYSDIR>\TBPS.ini".
  • The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\Web Search Tools\Frequently Asked Questions.url".
  • The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\Web Search Tools\Home.url".
  • The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\Web Search Tools\Privacy Policy.url".
  • The file at "<$COMMONPROGRAMS>\Web Search Tools\Terms of Use.url".
  • A file with an unknown location named "WSG.exe".
  • A file with an unknown location named "radio.exe".
  • A file with an unknown location named "TBPSSvc.exe".
  • A file with an unknown location named "TBPS.dat".
  • A file with an unknown location named "common.dll".
  • A file with an unknown location named "toolbar.dll".
  • A file with an unknown location named "gykhxlmu.rmr".
  • A file with an unknown location named "nzqlihv.wzg".
  • A file with an unknown location named "xlmurin.wzg".
  • A file with an unknown location named "yywr.wzg".

Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If Huntbar.Web Search uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins.
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D to remove them.

  • Delete the registry key "{356639AA-E878-40FF-B2F8-E22FA87DF389}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
  • A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "Common.Buttons", plus associated values.
  • A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "SSaver.SaverObj", plus associated values.
  • Delete the registry key "{5CF68A06-673D-4619-A805-C8FC9AC611DD}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
  • Delete the registry value "TBPS" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce\".
  • Delete the registry key "Toolbar" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
  • Delete the registry key "{2C4E6D22-B71F-491F-AAD3-B6972A650D50}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
  • Delete the registry key "{AF8B3C81-CD19-45FB-B6BE-160D27711DE8}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
  • Delete the registry key "{CABCF5E7-0C79-4F1C-909D-B9CF68FED746}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
  • Delete the registry key "{C380566D-F343-42AB-987B-6B38A1A35747}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
  • Delete the registry key "{6F59D850-A155-4930-98AE-689A2BC7B8E8}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
  • Delete the registry key "{D8BD4DED-5BB2-4D4E-9A6A-F10244FED7D6}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
  • Delete the registry key "{DB9A4E78-35DF-4A54-B6C5-C5190CEAF949}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
