    Unhappy Teatimer

I was wondering is there a way to remove registry
change popups on start up? I allready know I've allowed it to change them.
    Thanks

    Hello,

The reason why TeaTimer asked you is because it would ask you about any similar changes in the registry without regarding if it is good or bad.
There are so many registry keys that it is impossible to classify them by default. So the user has to decide if he wants to allow it or not.
The TeaTimer is making snapshot files when you start it the first time and the tool is comparing the current registry with the snapshot files.
If you want to make a new snapshot files please shutdown the TeaTimer with the Resident icon and then start it manually from the Spybot S&D program folder.
There is no possibility yet to hide the popups which remind you which keys are blocked. As a workaround, you can only make new snap shot files.

    Best regards

Default running spybot just as needed

    Hey Sandra,
Is there a way to set spybot S&D just to run when you want it to and not launch at startup? I have looked in the startup registry msconfig and it doesn't appear to be checked to start autmatically but I can't seem to figure out how to turn it off. I know that I have run spybot s&d just when I wanted to scan things on my computer, but the teatimer popups are driving one of our agents crazy here at the office so I wanted to turn the program off and just run scans periodically. Any ideas?
    Thanks! Amy

    AmyReCenter:

If you interested in stopping TeaTimer (TeaTimer.exe) from executing at system startup and not Spybot itself (SpybotSD.exe), did you follow the instructions posted by drragostea in your original thread?

Rather than continue posting in a 2 1/2 year old thread (2006-06-21), I would perfer that you continue any questions you still have in the thread you started on 2008-12-10.

    In addition, since you indicated:

I assume that your IT representative should be involved so that you are not violating company policy by turning TeaTimer off and that you are not violating Spybot's licensing requirements for non-private use and have a corporate or small business license:
